Aa Ve Sajjan

Transliteration of Punjabi Poem Aa Ve Sajjan

Aa Ve Sajjan

(Amrit Pal Singh ‘Amrit’)

Har Har Sajjan Mera Preetam Raaya.
Koyee Aan Milaavai Mere Praan Jeevaaya.

(Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Mahla 4, page 94)

Aa Ve Sajjan, Aa Ve Sajjan.

Saanoo Gal Naal La Ve Sajjan.

Tere Baajhon Barhaa Roye Haan,
Hor Na Injh Tarhpaa Ve Sajjan.

Saade Haal Toon Aape Jaanein,
Aapnee Gal Sunaa Ve Sajjan.

Gam Pee Pee Ke Mar Challe Haan,
Amrit-Boond Pilaa Ve Sajjan.

Tere Daras Pyaase Haan Ji,
Mukhrhe Ton Ghund Laah Ve Sajjan.

Tere Baanjhon Kaahda Jeena?
Sabh Noon Eh Samjhaa Ve Sajjan.

Mandir Vich Ke Masjid Vich Aein?
Saade Saahmane Aa Ve Sajjan.

‘Chaudaanh Sau Teeh’ Toon Khat Ghalle,

Aape Aan Sunaa Ve Sajjan.

Hosh-Masti
(Bhai Vir Singh Ji)

‘Kiyon Hoya?’ Te ‘Keekoon Hoya?’
Khapp Khapp Marey Siaaney,
Osey Raah Pavein Kiyon Jindey!
Jis Raah Poor Muhaaney!

Bhatkan Chadd, Latak La Ikko,
Kheevee Ho Sukh Maaneen,
Hoshaan Naalon Masti Changee,
Rakhdee Sadaa Tikaaney.
